Governor Umo Eno Congratulates Senate President-Elect, Godswill Akpabio, CON

June 13, 2023, Uyo – Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has extended his congratulations to Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON, on his appointment as the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, and made available via the Official Twitter handle of Akwa Ibom State Government. Governor Umo expressed his delight and offered his support to Senator Akpabio for the betterment of Akwa Ibom State.

The Governor commended the electoral process, describing it as “free, fair, and transparent,” which showcased the nation’s commitment to strengthening democratic principles. He emphasized that the time for politics has ended, and it is now crucial to focus on governance and work collectively across party lines to advance the state’s development.

“The process was free, fair, and transparent and is a testament to the deepening of our democratic traditions and ethos. I have always said that politics is over and it’s time for governance, and that, demands we work across party lines to advance the cause of our development. Governor Umo said

Governor Umo affirmed his readiness to collaborate with Senator Akpabio in order to drive progress, development, and growth within Akwa Ibom State and the entire nation. He expressed his belief that working together would significantly move the needle toward achieving the state’s developmental objectives.

Governor Umo Eno reiterated his congratulations to Senator Godswill Akpabio and wished him success in his new role as Senate President. He closed his statement by extending well wishes and praying for God’s guidance and speed in their collaborative efforts.
