Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his administration’s commitment to supporting states that demonstrate effective governance and align with the Federal Government’s development priorities.

The President stated this after meeting with Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

According to Tinubu, discussions with the governor focused on agriculture, infrastructure, security, and economic growth initiatives in the state.

He commended Governor Oyebanji’s “clear vision, prudent management, and focus on empowering the good people of Ekiti State to deliver his ‘Vision of Shared Prosperity’,” describing the approach as reflective of the All Progressives Congress (APC) values and the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Our administration will continue to work closely with states that match policy with action, and we are fully committed to supporting every effort that drives human capital development, strengthens security, and delivers sustainable prosperity for all Nigerians,” the President said.

Governor Oyebanji, who was at the Villa for a progress review, reiterated his administration’s resolve to partner with the Federal Government to enhance the welfare and economic well-being of Ekiti people.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to partnering with all progressive-minded state governments to deepen democracy, strengthen security, and transform the economy.

Speaking after a meeting with the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, at the Aso Villa on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the President described the governor as “a friend of over two decades” and commended his efforts in championing development in the state.

According to President Tinubu, the discussions centred on the bold reforms currently underway, the need to stay the course, and the importance of tackling insecurity through both decisive action and inclusive opportunities for Nigeria’s teeming youth.

This engagement comes amid ongoing national conversations on economic reforms, security challenges, and political inclusivity. Governor Soludo, a former Central Bank Governor, has in recent months aligned with federal initiatives aimed at fostering economic stability and inclusive growth.

President Tinubu assured that his administration would “continue to take a bet on Nigeria” and work closely with states committed to human, social, and economic development, noting that “Nigeria’s progress is strongest when we work together.”
