The Nyege Nyege Kenyan edition, a certified Kenyan Music and Arts Festival by the government of Kenya has issued an official statement distancing itself from NYEGE NYEGE FESTIVAL UGANDA. The group public relation manager announced this
through an official communique issued and signed on June 8th 2023.
“We have noticed potential confusion due to the similarity in names between Nyege Nyege Kenyan edition and NYEGE NYEGE
FESTIVAL UGANDA. We want to emphasize that the Nyege Nyege Kenyan edition is an independent event and has no affiliation
with NYEGE NYEGE FESTIVAL UGANDA. the report reads in part.

Following the announcement, some Twitter users took to their Twitter pages to call out the group for imitating the NYEGE NYEGE FESTIVAL UGANDA brand.
