Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday 30th May 2025 welcomed Nigeria’s football sensation and 2024 CAF Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman, at Lagos House, Marina.
The visit comes on the heels of Lookman’s historic achievement as Africa’s top footballer for the year, a feat that has earned him national and continental acclaim. During the reception, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the Atalanta forward for his discipline, passion, and commitment to excellence—attributes he described as deeply inspiring to millions of young Nigerians.
“His journey is a powerful reminder of how far passion, discipline, and hard work can take you,” the Governor remarked. “He is focused, grounded, and fully aware of the responsibility he carries as a role model.”
